Hi Jacob, I’m looking to get a small system started in my backyard. Where can I get tilapia fingerlings? Is there a place around CM? I talked to one fish store and he said he can special order them, but wondering if you know of a place that has them on hand. Thanks.

Hey Clive…

Thanks for your interest in our project! It is so exciting to actively shape this technology for deployment at various stations around the globe. Every victory that we experience at the CC aquaponics project encourages and inspires me for further development with the missions field in mind. Please pray for us when you think of it!

Regarding your request, we are actually accumulating materials for our next building project. I’m developing a design that should be accessible to everyman…….using items that are readily available in the environments that I have scouted out thus far.

As we build this system…I’ll post google sketchup drawings complete with measurements and parts list….and also video the whole procedure from start to finish. This system will be a compact and modular system that could stand alone as a mini system or integrate into a scalable system dependant upon your space and food needs.

Keep checking back and be on the lookout for these videos in the very near future.

Hi Jacob,
Congratulations on a wonderful venture in helping to feed the hungry and to help them feed themselves through aquaponics. This is something that is close to my heart. I have watched the videos and subscribed to your channel.

Would it be possible to make a video describing in some detail how you built your units including sizes and materials used so that this system can be replicated. I have looked at many videos on youtube re aquaponics and your system seems the most compact and well designed of them all.

If a video is not possible I would appreciate it if you could email me sizes of your growbeds, tanks etc.

Hey Jake,

I was just showing all the videos (most of them) to my dad and my mom. They really like the videos a lot! Thanks bro! They have been on the search for the best way to be self sustained in their planting and harvesting. What is the advantage of the balls instead of normal soil? For less bugs?
